Bliss
No-one built this moment
Not to be confused with the Lucinda Drayton and Andrew Blissett duo, these newcomers are the Danish quartet – Marc-George Andersen, Steffen Aaskoven, Tchando and Alexandra Hanmede. The group have inspired comparisons to Sade, Massive Attack and Ennio Morricone. Their finely woven blanket of sound blurs the boundaries between classical, ambient, chill-out, and soundtrack. Their sound can be heard in the worldwide campaign for DKNY as well as many motion picture and TV series soundtracks. Even Carlos Santana has requested the use of one of their songs!
Brand new album
No One Built This Moment is their brand new album from the Danish quartet Bliss – featuring Boy George, the former lead singer of Culture Club; Sophie Barker of Zero 7; and Lisbeth Scott from Steven Spielberg’s Munich and Mel Gibson’s Passion of the Christ.
Defining track
‘American Heart’ is the without doubt the defining track on this album, awesome acoustic guitar riffs blend with pulsing percussion and maracas while to vocals of Boy George and Alexandra Hanmede meld together in perfect union.
Electro-grooves
Tracks move easily through up-beat electro grooves and mellow chill-out melodies. Instruments include strings, synths, flute, acoustic guitar, percussion and piano while the female vocals are a unique blend of Lucinda Drayton and Deya Dova.
