    REMEDIAL MASSAGE THERAPY:  $44/$66

    Personalised massage treatment incorporating a variety of techniques to address specific musculo-skeletal dysfunction. Treatments may combine various modalities such as Deep Tissue, Trigger Point or Lymphatic Drainage. Remedial Therapy involves the systematic manual manipulation of specific areas of soft tissue in order to relieve pain, restore metabolic balance, release tension, promote healing and prevent further injury. Your session is specifically tailored to you whether you prefer invigorating muscle massage or general relaxation.

    RELAXATION THERAPY : $66

     Stress has been cited as one of the major causes of dis-ease within the body. It can cause the muscles to become tense and painful. A Relaxation/Swedish massage will assist you to relax, rejuvenate and achieve mind-body balance.  All techniques are slow, flowing and rhythmic complemented by aromatherapy oils which directly benefit one’s physical, mental and emotional state. A full body treatment is designed to alleviate fatigue, calm the nervous system, improve circulation, and facilitate deep relaxation.

    PREGNANCY MASSAGE: $77

    Every pregnant woman deserves to be pampered! Soothing Massage Therapy will calm the nervous system, reduce peripheral swelling, ease muscle cramps, relieve insomnia and lower blood pressure. A combination of massage and gentle exercise can aid in the prevention of stretch marks and assist the body to gently return to pre-pregnancy shape. Health and vitality are of utmost importance at this time. As the centre of gravity shifts with the growing baby, physical demands are placed on the body, particularly causing discomfort in the hips and low back. Specific pre-natal techniques will improve circulation and alleviate fatigue whilst keeping muscle supple. Massage is suitable after the first trimester (13 weeks). The treatment is conducted with the client either comfortably lying on a custom made table, side lying or seated on a ball. Not all women can have massage during pregnancy. Please call the clinic to discuss options.

    SPORTS MASSAGE THERAPY
    Get your body into peak performance condition with this deep tissue massage ideal for dancers, gymnasts and athletes. This treatment targets the muscle groups specific to your sport as well as areas of stress or dysfunction. It stimulates blood flow and energises the body to release tightness, soothe cramps and eliminate toxins. Massge can be applied pre or post performance.

    LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE: 80 mins = $99

     The lymph system is the body’s first line of defence in any illness. It shadows the circulatory system around the body, however it has no ‘pump’. Lymphatic Drainage Therapy applies superficial manual manipulation of the entire body to reduce fluid retention or oedema, improve skin condition, boost the immune system and detoxify the body.

    Discounts: secondary school students.

    BODY AWARENESS

    Body form is result of genetics, however, lifestyle plays a major role in the body shape we have today.  The overall state of our physical health can be measured by guidelines set out by health authorities who  reccommend we:

    • maintain a healthy weight range, keeping waist measurements below 80cm for women and 94cm for men.
    • know our body mass index- the measure of body fat based on height and weight ratio. 18.5-24.9 is normal, 25-30 is overweight and over 30 is obese.
    • exercise at least 30 minutes every day.

    Exercise should be an integral part of every lifestyle. Its aids to rebalance hormone levels such as oestrogen and testosterone and improves calcium absorption which is essential to maintaining bone strength and avoiding strain on muscles and joints.

    PILATES MAT CLASSES  Synergy Body Therapies offers Pilates based mat classes designed to strengthen the core muscles which in turn improves flexibility and range of movement.  Fit people are not only less susceptible to falls and injuries but also reap the many other benefits of regular exercise which:
    * improves health, strength and flexibility
    * develops better posture
    * promotes a stronger immune system
    * builds power and stamina
    * improves skin tone as extra oxygen floods our cells
    * works off extra kilos
    * reduces blood pressure
    * improves cholesterol levels
    * improves self esteem and confidence

    Pilates helps you to feel “longer, stronger and leaner”

    The Pilates Method is a non-impact fitness routine which emphasises increasing flexibility, strength, balance and co-ordination. Pilates Matwork is a floor style exercise class using your own body weight for resistance.  Most exercises are done lying on a mat.   It is a safe and effective way to stretch, strengthen and tone the body without adding bulk and stressing the joints. Pilates can also enhance athletic performance and is very effective in assisting a speedy recovery from surgery, injury and childbirth. Men and women of all shapes and sizes, regardless of age and fitness levels, can benefit from Pilates.
